After Client acceptance of the Detailed Design and Prototype Phases, Solid Design Solutions product development process moves into the Final Design Phase. All preparations for the Pilot Build will be made including coordination of component procurement as required. During the Final Design Phase Solid will make any final design modifications identified during prototype testing and review with the Client for approval. Prototype and testing processes are often repeated to confirm the design performs as required. Solid will also complete and perform a final review of all component details, re-test for fit and function, and perform a final quality check against engineered drawings.

The main goal for this phase is to prepare the product for Alpha production testing. Depending on the product, these may include assembly instruction sheets, user instructions, product packaging, UL/CE and other testing requirements, and in process testing strategies. In addition, production fixtures are identified and designed to increase manufacturing efficiency where possible.
